A national workshop aimed at strengthening India’s geospatial ecosystem will be held on December 17 at Yashobhoomi in New Delhi. The event will be inaugurated by Dr. Jitendra Singh, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science and Technology, who will serve as the chief guest.
Organized by the Survey of India under the Department of Science and Technology, the workshop is themed “Geospatial Mission: An Enabler of Viksit Bharat.” The objective is to accelerate India’s geospatial mission and bring together policymakers, technologists, industry leaders, and domain experts to deliberate on innovations shaping the country’s geospatial future.
Multiple sessions will be conducted during the workshop, enabling stakeholders to explore emerging opportunities, align geospatial practices with global standards, and promote the adoption of future-ready technologies across diverse sectors.
The event is expected to mark a crucial step toward advancing the Viksit Bharat 2047 vision, reinforcing India’s commitment to building a robust and technology-driven spatial data infrastructure.
