
Ajmer, 13 December (H.S.):The Ministry of Minority Affairs conducted a comprehensive review meeting on Saturday to assess preparations for the 814th Urs of Dargah Khwaja Saheb, scheduled to commence on December 17, 2025. The focus remained on ensuring robust safety, security, and convenience for the anticipated influx of pilgrims, known as Ziyareens.
Officials emphasized seamless coordination among agencies to guarantee the event's peaceful execution. Key arrangements under scrutiny included strategic CCTV installations, ample drinking water and toilet facilities, parking spaces, hygiene maintenance, crowd management, and removal of stray animals from the Dargah vicinity.
The District Administration confirmed that all line departments stand fully geared for the occasion.Ministry representatives also inspected the Ashray Sthali (Musafirkhana) — a sprawling 150-bigha resting camp on Ajmer's outskirts — to evaluate accommodations tailored for pilgrims' comfort during the Urs.
In a cherished annual tradition, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will send a sacred chadar for offering at the Dargah, symbolizing respect for India's profound cultural and spiritual heritage.
Chaired by S.P. Singh Teotia, Director at the Ministry, the meeting saw participation from District Administration officials and Dargah Khwaja Saheb representatives. The Ministry expressed satisfaction with the groundwork while underscoring vigilant monitoring throughout the Urs to swiftly address any challenges.
The Ministry reaffirmed its dedication to partnering with state and district authorities, ensuring pilgrims experience a secure and serene pilgrimage atmosphere.
