
Chennai, 11 December (H.S.): A 21-year-old medical student tragically lost her life after the luxury BMW car she was travelling in collided with the rear end of a lorry near Tiruporur. The incident, which occurred late at night, has resulted in the death of one student and severe injuries to three others, with initial reports suggesting high-speed racing as a possible factor in the accident.
According to initial reports, the deceased student has been identified as Misbah Fathima. She was returning from a late-night party held in Mamallapuram along with several other medical students when the crash took place. It is alleged that the students were engaged in a high-speed race with a friend's vehicle just before the high-impact collision with the heavy goods vehicle. Misbah Fathima reportedly died instantly at the accident scene, while the three other medical students traveling in the BMW were rushed to a medical facility for treatment of their severe injuries.
Police authorities have initiated an investigation into the exact circumstances leading up to the fatal crash. Updates from the police department regarding the ongoing investigation are currently awaited to confirm the precise cause and to take further action regarding the incident.
