Udhampur, 11 December (H.S.): Udhampur Police Cracks Snatching and ATM Fraud Case of Police Station Udhampur three Accused Arrested, Cash Recovered.

Police Station Udhampur received written complaints from Anil Sharma son of Tara Chand of Lashirah and Haji Saif Ali son of Noor Jamal of W.No.05 Udhampur stating that some unknown persons had snatched cash from their pockets and fled from the spot.

Taking cognizance of the matter, FIR No. 415/2025 and FIR No. 416/2025 U/S 304 BNS were registered at PS Udhampur and investigation was set into motion.

A special police team led by SHO, Udhampur Purab Singh was constituted to trace out the accused persons. During the investigation and with the help of CCTV footage, human intelligence and technical assistance, the accused persons were identified as Mushtaq Ahmed son of Nissar Ahmed of Prampila, Tehsil Uri, District Baramulla Sayid Tufal Hussain son of Sayid Zulfkar Hussain of Parampila, Uri, Baramulla and Murtaza Doi @ Kaka son of Ghulam Nabi Doi of Jalalsahib, Baramulla.

After sustained and meticulous efforts, the police team successfully arrested all three accused.

An amount of ₹27,000 has been recovered from their possession.

Investigation has further revealed their involvement in fraudulent ATM card replacement and unauthorized withdrawals.
