
Bhubaneswar, 11 December (H.S.): Chief Minister Mohan Majhi on Thursday announced that the Odisha government has created 37,916 jobs in the 17 months since the BJP came to power in the state. Speaking at the 13th Employment Fair in Bhubaneswar, the Chief Minister also handed over appointment letters to newly recruited candidates.
A total of 591 candidates received appointment letters across three departments during the event. CM Majhi highlighted that the government has set a target of generating 65,000 government jobs within the first two years of its tenure, underlining its priority to expedite recruitment and strengthen public service delivery.
Reiterating the BJP’s election promise, Majhi said the administration remains committed to providing 1.5 lakh government jobs over five years. He added that the state government is taking sustained measures to boost employment opportunities and support the aspirations of youth across Odisha.
