Sonitpur (Assam), 11 December (HS): A shocking incident that has shamed humanity came to light on Thursday in Bihali, Sonitpur district, where a brick kiln owner allegedly repeatedly raped a minor girl, resulting in her pregnancy.

The officer-in-charge of the Bihali police station told reporters today that the family of the 15-year-old girl has filed a First Information Report (FIR) against Mohammad Ali, the owner of HBI Brick Kiln, accusing him of raping and impregnating her.

Police arrested Mohammad Ali on Thursday from Kaliabor, where he had been absconding. Further legal proceedings have been initiated based on the registered FIR accordingly.----------
