South 24 Parganas, 3 October (H.S.): The blood soaked dead body of an unidentified youth was recovered on the roadside in Baruipur, South 24 Parganas district, on Friday morning. Liquor bottles, soft drinks, and water bottles were recovered near the body. Seeing plastic glasses and other drinking paraphernalia discarded near the bushes, the police and locals suspect the youth was lured to a liquor party and murdered.

On Friday morning, residents of the 60 Colony area of Begumpur Gram Panchayat in Baruipur East discovered a blood-soaked body on the roadside near a wooden bridge.

On information, Baruipur police arrived at the scene, and sent the body for post-mortem. Preliminary investigations revealed that the deceased was not a local resident.The police are trying to identify him. Officials believe multiple individuals may be involved in the murder.

Residents of the area alleged that the area becomes a hotbed of alcohol consumption and antisocial activities as night falls. Those who resist are threatened, and broken glass is strewn across the road. The police have initiated an investigation into the matter.
