Gorakhpur,
03 Oct (HS): Chief Minister and Gorakshapeethadhiswar Yogi Adityanath said that
forces that divide society and pose a threat to security have existed in every
era and situation. However, they have been destroyed by the strength of Sanatan
unity. The evil characters of Ramayana and Mahabharata still exist today in
different names and forms, engaged in dividing society. Every follower of
Sanatan Dharma must remain vigilant against such people.
Chief
Minister Yogi was addressing the coronation ceremony of Lord Shri Ram,
organized by the Shri Shri Ramlila Committee, Aryanagar, at the Mansarovar
Ramlila Maidan on Thursday evening on the occasion of Vijayadashami. Extending
Vijayadashami greetings and best wishes to everyone, he said that while the names
may have changed, the evil characters of the Ramayana and Mahabharata eras
still exist in different forms. Society is still plagued by figures like
Shurpanakha, Tadka, Khar, Dushan, Marich, and Subahu. The Chief Minister stated
that those who divide society in the name of casteism, untouchability, and
discrimination may have been associates of Tadka, Marich, and Shurpanakha in
their previous lives. Similarly, those who pose a threat to the safety of
daughters and businesspeople may have been disciples of Duryodhana and Dushasan
in their previous lives. Society must remain vigilant against such individuals.
Vijayadashami
is the festival that heralds the establishment of Ramrajya. The Chief Minister
stated that Vijayadashami marks the establishment of Ramrajya by Lord Shri Ram
after defeating Ravana, the epitome of unrighteousness, injustice, and
oppression. Ramrajya is literally true in every time, place, and situation.
Therefore, Sanatanis burn Ravana's effigy to express gratitude for the
benevolence of Lord Shri Ram, the embodiment of Maryada Purushottam (the most
virtuous person on earth), and pay homage to him. The Chief Minister added that
when Maharishi Valmiki took up his pen to guide humanity through the writings
of the most virtuous personalities on earth, he found Shri Ram to be the
embodiment of Dharma. According to him, Ram embodies all the demands of Dharma.
Shri Ram resides in every pore and breath of every Sanatani. CM Yogi noted that
in the 1990s, when communication was limited, the Ramayan serial broadcast on
Doordarshan had a reach of over 660 million viewers. No other serial has ever
been as popular. The reason is that the story of Ram is inspiring for everyone.
Even during the COVID-19 pandemic, it proved to be the most popular serial when
broadcast. Today's crowd also testifies to the fact that Ram brings positive
change in our lives by imparting some message through each event.
Devotion
gives new energy to work in adverse conditions: The Chief Minister said that
devotion towards Ram and Krishna gives new energy to work even in adverse
conditions. This energy is the strength of Sanatan Dharma. He said that the war
between Ram and Ravana is seen not only in Treta but in every era and
situation. There is always a conflict against demonic forces and the strength
generated from the struggle of this conflict is the basis of strength and
development. The Chief Minister said that Sanatan Dharma is not just a method
of worship but it is a guarantee of the welfare of every living being and the
protection of the entire inanimate world. To follow the laws of nature, we must
always maintain faith in Sanatan.
The
country's 11-year journey of progress under PM Modi's leadership is amazing and
commendable. The Chief Minister said that there are some people in this country
who lack pride in their heritage. When in power, they questioned the existence
of Ram and Krishna and conspired against Sanatan. The Chief Minister said that
today, the 11-year journey of development under the leadership of Prime
Minister Narendra Modi has enhanced the pride of every Indian. The coordination
of development and heritage is refreshing memories of Ramrajya. In 11 years,
every poor person has been provided with a roof, and highways, expressways,
metros, and airports have provided world-class facilities to the people. The
work accomplished in the country in the last 11 years under the Prime
Minister's leadership is amazing and commendable. This 11-year journey offers a
glimpse of a new India and makes the entire world realize India's power. He
said that today, India is not a follower, but a country that compels other
countries to follow it. He said that by the end of this financial year, India
will become the world's third-largest economy.
Take
a pledge to adopt Swadeshi: This year, Dussehra coincided with Gandhi Jayanti
and Shastri Jayanti. Referring to this, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath paid his
respects to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, and the country's second
Prime Minister, the late Lal Bahadur Shastri. He also discussed the
implications of Mahatma Gandhi's Swadeshi movement and Lal Bahadur Shastri's
slogan, Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan. The Chief Minister said that we all
must pledge to adopt Swadeshi. This will also honor the hard work of artisans,
craftsmen, and laborers. The Chief Minister also appealed to the Ramlila
Committee to organize a Swadeshi fair at the Ramlila grounds before Diwali.
Money
sent abroad is used against us: CM Yogi said that the money spent on buying
indigenous products will lead India and Uttar Pradesh to progress. He added
that when foreign goods are purchased, the profits go abroad and are used in
some form or another for love jihad, religious conversion, terrorism, and
Naxalism. This means that our money is used against us.
There
is no organization as powerful and dynamic as the RSS in the world: CM Yogi
Referring
to the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh
(RSS) on Vijayadashami, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that there is no
organization as powerful and vibrant as the RSS in the world. Even in adverse
circumstances, it has upheld Indian values and ideals by empowering society.
The RSS has accomplished what governments have failed to do. Through education,
health, and disaster relief services, the organization has worked to unite
society. Through over 12,000 Shishu Mandirs and Vidya Bharati, and thousands of
health projects, it has accomplished remarkable work in the fields of education
and health. Whether it's the welfare of workers through the Bharatiya Mazdoor
Sangh, tribal children through the Shri Ram Vanvasi Hostel, or cow protection,
the RSS has contributed to every aspect of society. The Chief Minister said
that the Shri Ram Temple in Ayodhya is the greatest manifestation of the RSS's
innovative resolve. The Shri Ram Temple is also a realization of the eternal
resolve and the power of unity. CM Yogi said that every Indian and every
Sanatani should express gratitude for the work done by the RSS in various
fields. He said that expressing gratitude to the creator is the hallmark of
Sanatan Dharma. Expressing gratitude is both a duty and a responsibility.
If
we remain united, no power in the world will be able to harm us: The Chief
Minister said that we must be wary of the enemies of society. We also need to
be cautious of those who dislike harmony. He explained that his government has
also introduced legislation against religious conversion and love jihad. Both
of these types of conspiracies are being dealt with firmly, but society must
also remain vigilant. If we remain united, no force in the world will be able
to harm us.
Called
to join the five vows given by PM Modi: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath called
for joining the five pledges given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the Amrit
Mahotsav of Independence to develop the country, state, city and every village
by the centenary of independence in 2047. He said that we have to decide what
kind of India, what kind of Uttar Pradesh or what kind of Gorakhpur we want by
2047. Gorakhpur plagued by mosquitoes, mafia or with an identity crisis or
Gorakhpur free from all problems and moving ahead on the path of development.
He said that 8 years ago the state was known for riots, hooliganism and
insecurity of daughters and traders. It was called a sick state. 8 years ago,
celebrating festivals and celebrations peacefully was like a dream but today it
is a reality. Today's Uttar Pradesh is not a sick state but has become the
growth engine of the country's economy.
