Nagpur, 03 Oct (HS): A vehicle owner allowing a
minor to drive his two-wheeler was fined Rs 30,000, and cancelled registration
of the vehicle for one year. The decision was taken by the Motor Vehicle Court in
Nagpur on Wednesday.
According to police, one Dhande had allowed a minor
to drive his two-wheeler bearing registration number MH40 DB 6071, violating
the rules laid down under the Motor Vehicles Act.
During the hearing, Dhanded admitted to the offence.
Besides slapping a fine of Rs 30,000, the court directed the Sonegaon Police
Station to inform the Regional Transport Office (RTO) of the action and cancel registration of the
vehicle for one year.
