Guwahati, 03 October (HS): A massive fire broke out on Friday at SS Road’s Cyber Mart in Fancy Bazar, Guwahati, leading to the tragic death of one person due to suffocation.

According to reports, four people were trapped inside the commercial establishment when the fire erupted. Rescue teams managed to pull them out, but several were critically injured and rushed to hospital.

As many as 10 fire tenders were pressed into service to douse the flames. Preliminary investigations suggest that the blaze might have been triggered by a short circuit.
