Adityanath claimed on Sunday that social media has become a vehicle for

anti-India conspiracies, saying that anti-India elements are exploiting the

platform to disseminate rumors and mislead the public. Addressing the opening

ceremony of the 'Kakori Train Action Centenary Celebrations' in Kakori,

Adityanath accused a plot to prevent the current generation of people from

taking pride in many of the country's revolutionaries.

Social Media Misuse and Historical Neglect: He said that

after Independence, institutions were named after members of 'one khandaan', a

veiled allusion to the Nehru-Gandhi dynasty, but since Narendra Modi became Prime

Minister in 2014, numerous freedom warriors have received their due. The chief

minister also urged people to display the national flag in every home on

Independence Day and to sing Vande Mataram in institutions.

India was not enslaved without purpose. India's enslavement

was the result of internal disputes and intrigues against us. Even today,

certain elements are striving to destabilize India in name of caste, region and

language are continuing similar conspiracies, he stated on 101st anniversary of

historic Kakori train incident that transpired on August 9, 1925.

These conspiracies now have a third medium: the social media

platform. All anti-India elements are exploiting this platform to propagate

rumors about India, misuse it and make deliberate attempt to mislead public via

such conspiracies, he added. Chief Minister said people who kept younger

generation away from country's revolutionaries and heroes had perpetrated grave

disservice to them.

Not allowing a person to take pleasure in his idols is akin

to separating him from his principles. He said that the move was akin to shutting

off his sources of inspiration. Following Independence, revolutionaries such as

Ram Prasad Bismil, Roshan Singh, Ashfaqulla Khan, Chandrashekhar Azad, Veer

Savarkar, Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, and Sukhdev were purposefully erased from

public consciousness.

He said that there was a constant plot to keep the identities of these

revolutionaries hidden from the current generation. Adityanath stated that in

1922, when the Chauri Chaura event occurred in Gorakhpur, the Congress ceased

the movement and distanced itself from the tragedy, whereas Pandit Madan Mohan

Malaviya contested the case on behalf of revolutionaries. Many revolutionaries

were condemned to life in prison, and regrettably, two Lucknow Congress officials

who were attorneys pleaded against them in court, Adityanath remarked.
