The Insurance Division of the Department of Financial Services (DFS) has secured the third position in the Group ‘A’ category of the Grievance Redressal Assessment and Index (GRAI) for June 2026.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Finance on Thursday, the Insurance Division under the Department of Financial Services ranked second in the Group ‘A’ category of the Grievance Redressal Assessment and Index (GRAI) for June, while the Banking Division stood at the sixth position.
The ministry stated that the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) has released the monthly report of the Centralised Public Grievance Redress and Monitoring System (CPGRAMS) for June. The report provides a detailed analysis of the nature, categories, and disposal patterns of public grievances.
As per the report, the Financial Services Department (Insurance Division) secured the third position, while the Financial Services Department (Banking Division) ranked sixth. Additionally, DFS has consistently remained among the top 10 departments in the GRAI rankings across various ministries and departments since November 2025.
The Ministry of Finance said that during June 2026, the Department of Financial Services resolved more than 30,000 grievances. Senior officials of the department are also regularly conducting personal reviews of randomly selected complaints, while workshops on establishing an “effective grievance redressal mechanism” are being organised on a regular basis.
