
Bhubaneswar, 06 August (H.S.) : Delegations from China and Iran, who are in the city to attend the BRICS Education Conference, visited the Odisha State Museum on Thursday.
The visiting delegates were warmly welcomed by the museum’s Superintendent, Dr. Bharati Pal, who briefed them on Odisha’s rich history, heritage, architecture, literature, art, and culture.
During the visit, the delegations explored various galleries of the museum, including sections on archaeology, palm-leaf manuscripts, epigraphy, coins, arms and weapons, fine arts and crafts, as well as the state’s living heritage exhibits. The visitors expressed admiration for Odisha’s archaeological wealth and its historical contributions to Buddhist and Jain traditions.
On the occasion, the museum authorities presented the delegates with a publication titled “Timeless Tale,” a comprehensive book highlighting the legacy and collections of the Odisha State Museum.
The visit highlighted cultural exchange and provided an opportunity for the international delegates to gain deeper insights into Odisha’s rich and diverse heritage.
