- To Visit Flood-Affected Areas

Dibrugarh (Assam), 04 August (HS): Union Minister for Health & Family Welfare and Chemicals & Fertilizers Jagat Prakash Nadda arrived at Dibrugarh Airport on Tuesday on a three-day visit to Assam, Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh. He will stay overnight at Manohari Resort in Dibrugarh.

On Wednesday, Nadda will visit flood-affected areas in Assam's Sivasagar district. During the visit, he will inspect affected villages, relief camps, damaged crops and houses, besides interacting with flood-hit families to assess their problems.

Later, the Union Minister will travel to Mon district of Nagaland to review the flood situation. He will inspect flood-affected villages and relief camps, review relief operations in Defence Colony and nearby areas, and interact with affected residents.

Nadda will then return to Dibrugarh, where he will hold meetings with Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma and senior state government officials. He is also scheduled to participate in local programmes before staying overnight in Dibrugarh.

On Thursday, the Union Minister will visit Yazali in Arunachal Pradesh's Keyi Panyor district to assess areas affected by flash floods and cloudbursts. He will inspect damaged roads, bridges and relief camps, meet affected families and later chair a review meeting with the Arunachal Pradesh government in Itanagar. He will return to New Delhi via Guwahati the same day.----------
