Delhi, 04 August (H.S.): The newly appointed judge of the fast-track court hearing paper leak cases at Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court, Ajay Gupta, conducted proceedings in the matter on Tuesday. The court ordered that the next hearing on the chargesheet filed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in the NEET paper leak case will be held on August 6.
During Tuesday's hearing, the court stated that the trial in the NEET paper leak case would be conducted on a daily basis. On the same day, accused persons Mangi Lal Biwal, Dinesh Biwal, and Vikas Biwal filed applications seeking permission for polygraph and lie detector tests. The court issued a notice to the CBI on the applications.
On July 24, the Delhi High Court had directed the establishment of a fast-track court at Rouse Avenue Court for expediting the hearing of the NEET paper leak case. Anu Grover Baliga was initially appointed as the judge of the fast-track court.
The newly constituted fast-track court held its first hearing on July 27, but the proceedings had to be deferred as the CBI had not appointed a public prosecutor for the case.
