New Delhi, 04 August (H.S.): Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday led a march towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi's residence in protest against the E20 fuel policy. Senior party leaders, including Manish Sisodia, Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh, and Delhi unit president Saurabh Bharadwaj, along with several other leaders and workers, participated in the march.

During the protest march, Kejriwal said that there is widespread public resentment over E20 petrol and claimed that people are facing difficulties because of the fuel policy. He said the party was planning to submit petitions signed by more than 2.3 lakh people to the Prime Minister against the E20 fuel initiative.

Kejriwal said the party's demand was that ethanol-based fuel should not be imposed on people forcefully and urged the government to reconsider the decision.

However, Delhi Police stopped AAP leaders and workers midway while they were moving towards the Prime Minister's residence. Following this, Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, Sanjay Singh, and other party leaders began a sit-in protest on Feroz Shah Road.

During the demonstration, AAP Delhi unit president Saurabh Bharadwaj said that the party had arrived with the petitions and should be allowed to submit them. He added that if there was any issue, a representative from the Prime Minister's Office could come and receive the petitions and agree to hold discussions on the matter.

AAP leader Anurag Dhanda criticised the Central Government, stating that millions of vehicle owners across the country are concerned about the E20 policy. He alleged that the government was ignoring public concerns and said the Prime Minister should listen to people's views on the issue.

Dhanda further alleged that decisions regarding the ethanol policy were being taken under external pressure and called for greater transparency and open dialogue from the government on the matter.
