Leh, 16 August (H.S.): Dhanurdhari Gunners of the Fire & Fury Corps successfully completed the formidable Col Sonam Wangchuk, MVC White Water Rafting Expedition along the treacherous waters of the Zanskar River.

Navigating challenging rapids from Padum to Nimu, the participating soldiers demonstrated exceptional physical endurance, watermanship and unyielding mental toughness in high-altitude environment.

To mark the triumph of the journey, a ceremonial Flag-in event was conducted at the historic Hall of Fame in Leh. The ceremony was graced by Lieutenant General Madanraj Pande, AVSM, SM, VSM, General Officer Commanding Fire & Fury Corps, as the Chief Guest. During the address, the Chief Guest commended the team for their outstanding camaraderie, courage and sportsmanship.

The expedition honoured the enduring bravery and legacy of the War Hero, Colonel Sonam Wangchuk, MVC. It showcased the Indian Army’s commitment to fostering adventure, physical excellence and indomitable spirit across rugged Himalayan frontiers.
