New Delhi, 11 August (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and several senior leaders and MPs of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) attended the alliance’s weekly ‘Mangal Milan’ parliamentary meeting on Tuesday.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Modi, Shah and other NDA leaders waved the Tricolour, adding a patriotic note to the gathering.

The meeting began with chants of ‘Vande Mataram’. The development comes amid the Opposition’s continued demand for the presence of Home Minister Amit Shah in Parliament and discussions on various issues.

In response, the NDA has prepared a political counter to the Opposition’s stand. As NDA leaders left the meeting, they carried posters bearing the message: “The Home Minister is ready for discussion, the Opposition is running away.”

The meeting is part of the NDA’s ongoing parliamentary strategy amid continued political confrontation between the ruling alliance and the Opposition during the Monsoon Session.
