New Delhi, 11 August (H.S.): Gold prices continued to decline for the second consecutive day in most bullion markets across the country during early trading on Tuesday, while Chennai witnessed a rise in gold prices. Silver prices remained unchanged across the market.

Except in Chennai, gold prices fell by Rs 400 to Rs 430 per 10 grams in most major bullion markets. In Chennai, however, gold prices increased by Rs 500 to Rs 540 per 10 grams.

Following these movements, 24-carat gold was trading between Rs 1,51,960 and Rs 1,52,170 per 10 grams in most bullion markets, while 22-carat gold was quoted between Rs 1,39,290 and Rs 1,39,490 per 10 grams.

Silver prices remained unchanged. In the Delhi bullion market, the precious metal continued to trade at Rs 2,44,900 per kilogram.

In Delhi, 24-carat gold was trading at Rs 1,52,110 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was quoted at Rs 1,39,440 per 10 grams. In Mumbai, the country’s financial capital, 24-carat gold stood at Rs 1,51,960 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold at Rs 1,39,290 per 10 grams.

In Ahmedabad, the retail price of 24-carat gold was recorded at Rs 1,52,010 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was priced at Rs 1,39,340 per 10 grams.

Chennai was the exception to the broader trend. There, 24-carat gold was trading at Rs 1,52,170 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was quoted at Rs 1,39,490 per 10 grams.

In Kolkata, 24-carat gold was priced at Rs 1,51,960 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold at Rs 1,39,290 per 10 grams. In Bhopal, 24-carat gold stood at Rs 1,52,010 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was available at Rs 1,39,340 per 10 grams.

In Jaipur, 24-carat gold was trading at Rs 1,52,110 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold at Rs 1,39,440 per 10 grams. In Patna, 24-carat gold was quoted at Rs 1,52,010 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold stood at Rs 1,39,340 per 10 grams.

In the Lucknow bullion market, 24-carat gold was trading at Rs 1,52,110 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold at Rs 1,39,440 per 10 grams.

Gold prices also remained under pressure during early trading in the bullion markets of Karnataka, Telangana and Odisha. In the state capitals Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Bhubaneswar, 24-carat gold was trading at Rs 1,51,960 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was quoted at Rs 1,39,290 per 10 grams.
