
New Delhi, 08 July (H.S.): Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan will visit Odisha on Thursday, where he is scheduled to launch several significant initiatives related to the sustainable exploitation of marine fishery resources and attend the 15th Convocation Ceremony of the National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) in Bhubaneswar.
According to the Vice President's Secretariat, during his visit, the Vice President will attend as the Chief Guest the programme for the issuance of Letters of Authorisation (LoAs) for the sustainable exploitation of fishery resources in deep-sea areas. The event will be held at the Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT) in Bhubaneswar.
On the occasion, he will also release the Odisha Deep Sea Fishing Mission document, which is aimed at promoting sustainable and scientific development of the state's deep-sea fisheries sector.
Later in the day, the Vice President will participate in the 15th Convocation Ceremony of the National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), located in Khordha district near Bhubaneswar, where he will address the graduating students and faculty members.
