Jaunpur, 08 July (HS): The state government's ambitious

Chief Minister Teacher Cashless Medical Scheme was launched in Jaunpur, Uttar

Pradesh, on Wednesday from Varanasi. Its live broadcast was seen in the

Collectorate auditorium in Jaunpur. During the program, the scheme, which

provides cashless medical facilities up to Rs 5 lakh to teachers, non-teaching

staff, and their dependents, was launched. An amount of Rs 1,200 per student

was also transferred to the accounts of students' parents through DBT.

The program in Jaunpur was inaugurated by State Minister of

State (Independent Charge) for Sports and Youth Welfare Girish Chandra Yadav,

Rajya Sabha MP Seema Dwivedi, BJP District President Ajit Prajapati, Dr. Ajay

Singh, and District Magistrate Samuel Pal N. by lighting a lamp and garlanding

a picture of Goddess Saraswati. Guests were welcomed with bouquets, robes, and

saplings.

On this occasion, public representatives distributed

symbolic cards of the Chief Minister's Teacher Cashless Medical Scheme to 10

teachers, Shikshamitras, instructors, special educators, and cooks from the

Basic Education Department. Five teachers from the Secondary Education

Department were also provided with cards for the scheme.

Addressing the program, State Minister Girish Chandra Yadav

stated that the state government is fully committed to the respect, security,

and welfare of teachers, Shikshamitras, instructors, and all personnel

associated with the education department. He added that this scheme will

provide cashless medical care up to Rs. 5 lakh to approximately 1.2 million

teachers and their families in the state. This will ensure better and timely

treatment in case of serious illness or emergency, and will also reduce

financial burden.

He said that the Chief Minister's Teacher Cashless Medical

Scheme is not just a health care facility, but a powerful means of respecting

teachers and ensuring their social security. Given the crucial role teachers

play in society and nation-building, ensuring their health and family safety is

a top priority for the government. During the event, a Memorandum of

Understanding (MOU) was signed with the State Bank of India to provide social

security coverage for teachers and contract workers. Principals and headmasters

of nationally selected clean and green schools were also honored.
