Chitrakoot, 08 July (HS): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi
Adityanath reached Chitrakoot, the place of penance of Lord Shri Ram, on
Wednesday. 124 development projects worth Rs,. 950.89 crores were dedicated to
the district. Later, at a public meeting held on the campus of Chitrakoot Inter
College, he targeted the opposition and said that the Samajwadi Party and
Congress are conspiring to defame the faith, but Ram devotees will not let
their plans succeed. People welcomed the Chief Minister with chants of
Jai Shri Ram
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath began his address with the
slogan Jai Shri Ram. He said that Chitrakoot, which became a
support for Lord Shri Ram in times of crisis, is not just spiritual; rather,
Maharishi Valmiki, who could see past, present and future, had to establish an
ashram here. Goswami Tulsidas was born in Rajapur, Chitrakoot. The blessings of
Kamadgiri and Mandakini, and the energy of Sati Anusuya's Ashram, make the
entire state proud. I have been given the opportunity to visit such a land
today.
Congratulating for the gift of development works worth Rs
950 crore, the Chief Minister said that Lord Ram came to Chitrakoot on the
orders of Maharishi Valmiki. He lived here for 12 years with sages and Kol
Bhils. Earlier, no one used to come to Chitrakoot due to fear of dacoits. There
were no roads. No work was done in Rajapur. Earlier, when people used to come
here, it seemed neglected. When I came for the first time, I asked the
officials to develop Chitrakoot. Today, when I came from Mirzapur, I saw a
changed Chitrakoot. There is an airport at the top. Bundelkhand Express is the
lifeline. He said that the area was neglected since independence. Now the
Defence Corridor is being built and soon we are going to see big investments.
Speaking directly to the public, the Chief Minister said,
I have brought the PWD Minister along with me to discuss the development
needs of Chitrakoot, Rajapur, and Karvi. We will review this with officials.
Samajwadi Party leaders play politics in the name of Dr. Lohia. But when they
come to power, they expand their families. They cannot rise above dynasty
politics and family politics, and they have no interest in development.
Chief Minister Yogi said that the SP-Congress people first
call Shri Ram and Krishna imaginary; they are not ashamed that if God is
imaginary then what is Chitrakoot, Shringber Pur, Ayodhya, Mathura, Vrindavan.
If a Ram devotee from Chitrakoot says so then it is no big deal, today SP and
Congress are conspiring to defame the faith. One hundred and fifty people are
in the count, like when the matter of theft in donations came to the notice of
the trust then SIT was formed. The team investigated and six people were found
stealing, two were involved in the conspiracy. A total of eight were arrested.
Then the justification for defaming the entire trust has been stated. Every
believer will have to be alert.
Attacking the opposition, he said that during the tenure of
SP and Congress, money was spent in the name of graveyards. Thousands of acres
of land were encroached upon in the name of Waqf. When the Waqf law was passed,
Congress and SP stood together. Thousands of acres of land were sold, which was
outright robbery. They did not speak even once for that. When Prime Minister
Modi passed the law, they stood up. They have a double character like
chameleons. These people do not respect anyone. A medical college was built in
Kannauj in the name of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, but its name was removed. 64
thousand acres of land in the entire state was freed from the mafia, which was
encroached upon by SP people.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Yogi presented symbolic
cheques of Rs 5 lakh each to Vijay Kumar and Satyam Mishra, beneficiaries of
the Yuva Mukhyamantri Yojana, smart phones to Anganwadi workers Mamta Soni and
Akriti Sharma, keys of the Prime Minister's house to Sangeeta and Shivkumari,
and cheques of Rs 1 lakh each to Bappa Rawal and Mansi for securing first
position in Intermediate and High School.
