Lucknow, 06 July (HS): On the occasion of the birth
anniversary of the revered Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Ji, the founding president
of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath participated at the
floral tribute program organized in Lucknow.
In Lucknow, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath paid tribute to
Bharatiya Jana Sangh founder Shyama Prasad Mukherjee on his 125th birth
anniversary on Monday. The Chief Minister paid homage to him by laying a wreath
at his statue at Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Hospital on Park Road. Deputy
Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak, Minister Swatantradev Singh, and several others
were present on the occasion.
On this occasion, CM Yogi said that if today's West Bengal
is a part of India, then among the leaders who dedicated themselves and made it
a part of that movement, the name of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee comes
prominently. As the Food and Industry Minister of the country in independent
India, he implemented the Food and Industry policy in the country with
prominence. The CM said that when the Nehru government became a threat to the
integrity of the country, Dr. Mukherjee gave up the power. After this, as the
founding president of Bharatiya Jana Sangh, he opposed the permit system of
Kashmir by proclaiming two constitutions, two heads, two flags in one country.
For this he was arrested and he died in Kashmir itself.
In a post on X, he mentioned, “On the occasion of the birth
anniversary of the great son of Mother India and the founding president of the
Bharatiya Jana Sangh, the revered Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee ji, today in
Lucknow, floral tributes were offered at his statue and homage was paid. It is
a matter of great fortune for us that the Bengal which Dr. Syama Prasad
Mookerjee ji saved from the 'bloody clutches of Pakistan' and kept as an
integral part of India, today that same Bengal is witnessing the good
governance of the Bharatiya Janata Party, which follows his principles and
ideals. Salutations to his sacred memories.”
“Visionary Politician of a Powerful India. Today, we are
celebrating the 125th birth anniversary of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Ji. His
life is an inspiring example of courage and unwavering dedication to Mother
India. His personality was a remarkable confluence of scholarship, public
service, and high moral values. Only a few leaders of modern India possess such
a multitude of qualities together,” he added in another post.
Similarly, he also mentioned, “On the birth anniversary of
the great nationalist thinker, educationist, and founding president of the
Bharatiya Jana Sangh, Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee, humble tribute. Proclaiming
One country, two constitutions, two heads, two symbols, will not
do..., he infused new life into the resolve for the nation's unity and
integrity, and by offering his sacrifice, awakened the entire nation. His
dedication to 'Undivided India' fills us all with new inspiration, new energy,
and new strength.”
