Bhubaneswar, 06 July (H.S.): Bhubaneswar Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Jagmohan Meena has resigned from the Indian Police Service (IPS), citing personal reasons. The development came to light on Monday.
A 2013-batch IPS officer, Meena confirmed that he had submitted his resignation to the state government nearly a month ago. However, the administrative process for its acceptance is still underway.
Speaking to the media, Meena said he plans to transition into the private sector after his resignation is formally accepted by the government. He, however, declined to comment on any reasons beyond his personal grounds for stepping down.
