
Thane, 04 July (HS): Police arrested three more accused in the MAHA-TET paper
leakage case. The three were arrested from Agra in Uttar Pradesh and were
identified as Nareshkumar Puranchand Mahor, Sanjaykumar Sureshchandra Sharma
and Babulal Narayansinh Kishwaha.
They were presented in Mumbai’s Bhiwandi
Court, which remanded them to police custody till July 9. With the arrest the
number of accused in the TET paper leakage case has gone up to ten.
The three were part of the network for
bring the question paper out of Mahima Patran Pvt Lit, the printing press in
Agra where the question papers were printed.
The paper leak detected in Bhiwandi in
Thane district a day prior to the date of examination. The paper leakage racket
has connection with Bihar, Haryana, Delhi, Agra, besides Maharashtra. Financial
transactions of the accused are also being verified.
Thane police constituted a Special
Investigation Team for exposing the racket. Police are also thinking of
registering offence under Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA).
