
Kolkata, 04 July (H.S.): West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari on Saturday paid heartfelt tributes to Swami Vivekananda on the occasion of his death anniversary (Tirodhan Diwas), remembering the spiritual leader's enduring contribution to India's cultural and spiritual heritage.
In a message shared on his official social media platform, Adhikari offered his respects to Swami Vivekananda. In his post, written in Bengali, he said: My respectful salutations to the universally revered warrior monk and the embodiment of spiritual consciousness, Swami Vivekananda, on his Tirodhan Diwas.
Through the message, the Chief Minister recalled Swami Vivekananda's immense contributions to spirituality, cultural awakening and nation-building, and paid homage to his enduring legacy.
Swami Vivekananda attained Mahasamadhi at Belur Math on July 4, 1902. His ideals of nationalism, spirituality, service to humanity and youth empowerment continue to inspire millions of people in India and across the world.
Tribute programmes and commemorative events are being organised across the country to mark the revered monk's death anniversary.
