Lucknow, 04 July (HS): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi
Adityanath has established the state as a leader in India's cooperative sector
by being the first to announce the International Year of Cooperatives. CM Yogi
emphasized cooperatives as the cornerstone for Sahakar Se Samriddhi
(prosperity via collaboration) for a developed India by 2047. The state is
upgrading Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS) and promoting One
District, One Cooperative Bank to give farmers and rural enterprises better
access to digital payments and larger credit ceilings (up to Rs 10 lakh). Yogi
Adityanath frequently cites enormous participation gatherings—such as the Maha
Kumbh in Prayagraj—as historical and cultural examples of India's innate ethos
of collaboration and empowerment. These policies are consistent with the larger
national goal of increasing rural prosperity, creating sustainable livelihoods,
and developing a self-sufficient economy.
He mentioned in a post on X, “Heartfelt congratulations and
best wishes to all on International Cooperative Day. Cooperation is the core
spirit of India. It is that life perspective deeply embedded in our social
consciousness, which, by paving the way for self-reliance through collective
responsibility, realizes the resolve of 'Antyodaya'. Under the mantra of
'Prosperity through Cooperation' of the Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji and the leadership of the Hon'ble Union
Home and Cooperation Minister Shri @AmitShah ji, cooperation has today become a
powerful pillar of the country's development journey. Let us strengthen this
spirit of collaboration, participation, and shared responsibility even further
and become partners in building a prosperous society and 'Developed India'.”
