Itanagar, 04 July (HS): The Arunachal Pradesh government on Saturday launched an aerial relief operation, deploying a state-owned helicopter to deliver food and medicines to flood-affected villages in Lower Siang district that remain cut off after landslides and flash floods disrupted road connectivity.
The Skyone Airways Mi-172 helicopter is carrying out multiple sorties between Pasighat and Koyu to transport emergency supplies, while authorities have also intensified efforts to clear landslide debris and restore traffic on the strategically important Akajan-Likabali-Bame Road.
