Guwahati, 31 July (HS): The Assam Premier League (APL) will commence on Saturday as scheduled despite the prevailing flood situation in the state, BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia announced during a press conference on Friday.
Saikia said the tournament could not be postponed due to several logistical and scheduling reasons. However, in view of the flood situation, no cultural programmes will be held during the event.
The matches will be broadcast live on JioHotstar and Star Sports HD-1, allowing cricket fans across the state and the country to follow the tournament.
The ticket price for the opening day's matches has been fixed at ₹50, while tickets for all subsequent matches will be available at ₹20.-----------
