Guwahati, 03 July (HS): Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has completed the redevelopment of Majbat railway station in Assam's Udalguri district under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme at a cost of over ₹12 crore.

The upgraded station now features a modern facade, improved waiting hall, extended platform, new passenger amenities, Divyang-friendly facilities, lifts, enhanced lighting and digital passenger information systems. Majbat is one of the 92 stations selected for redevelopment under the scheme in the NFR zone.

NFR said the revamped station will improve passenger comfort, accessibility and operational efficiency while strengthening rail connectivity and supporting the region's socio-economic development.-----------
