New Delhi, 03 July (H.S.): The Ministry of Education has reappointed Prof. Yogesh Singh as the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Delhi for a second consecutive five-year term, reaffirming its confidence in his leadership.

The Ministry of Education has issued the official order confirming Prof. Singh's reappointment. President Droupadi Murmu, in her capacity as the Visitor of the University of Delhi, exercised her statutory powers to appoint him as the University's Vice-Chancellor for a second term.

According to the order issued by the Department of Higher Education, Prof. Singh's second term will take effect from October 8 and will continue for five years.

In a communication sent by the Ministry of Education to the Registrar of the University of Delhi, it stated that the terms and conditions of Prof. Singh's appointment as Vice-Chancellor will be governed by the provisions of the University Act, Statutes, and Ordinances.

Prof. Yogesh Singh is currently serving as the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Delhi and will now continue in the role for a second consecutive term.

The Ministry has also forwarded copies of the appointment order to the University Grants Commission (UGC), the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), and other concerned authorities for necessary action.
