Silchar (Assam), 28 July (HS): Katigorah Police in Assam's Cachar district seized 124 grams of suspected heroin and arrested two persons during a naka checking operation on National Highway-06.

According to the official information by Cachar police on Tuesday, acting on a reliable input received that a vehicle bearing registration number AS-07Q-9101 travelling from Silchar towards Kalain was intercepted at Katigorah.

During the search of the vehicle, police recovered 10 soap cases containing 124 grams of suspected heroin. The two occupants of the vehicle were immediately apprehended.

The seized narcotics, the vehicle, and the arrested individuals have been taken to Katigorah Police Station for necessary legal action. Further investigation is underway.-----------
