Jorhat (Assam), 28 July (HS): A six-member central team led by Union Home Ministry Joint Secretary M. Ramachandrudu held a high-level review meeting in Jorhat on Tuesday to assess the flood situation in Assam.

The meeting, which lasted for about an hour at the Jorhat District Commissioner's office, focused on the impact of the recent floods and the ongoing relief and rehabilitation measures in the affected areas.

The central delegation is visiting flood-hit districts of the state to conduct an on-ground assessment. Later in the afternoon, the team is scheduled to visit Golaghat as part of its inspection tour.-----------
