New Delhi, 26 July (H.S.): The Delhi Government has appointed Nirmal Jain as the Chairperson of the Delhi State Minorities Commission and Lata Gupta as the Chairperson of the Delhi Commission for Women. The information was shared by the Delhi Government through its official social media account on Sunday.

The Delhi Government has appointed Nirmal Jain as Chairperson of the Delhi Minorities Commission, while Kuldeep Singh and Mohammad Haroon have been appointed as members of the Commission.

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta congratulated the newly appointed Chairperson, Nirmal Jain, and the members of the Delhi Minorities Commission. She said they would strengthen the spirit of the government's guiding principle of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas by working with dedication for the rights, dignity, and welfare of every section of society, while giving fresh momentum to social harmony and inclusive development.

The Chief Minister said the Delhi Government remains committed to protecting the rights, dignity, and welfare of all sections of society. She added that these appointments mark an important step towards strengthening the rights and well-being of every community and advancing social harmony and inclusive development.

The Delhi Government has also appointed Lata Gupta as the Chairperson of the Delhi Commission for Women. Shyam Bala, Malti Verma, Lata Sodhi, Sanrakshika Sharma Jha, and Renu Bhalla have been appointed as members of the Commission.

Congratulating the newly appointed Chairperson and members, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta expressed confidence that they would work in close coordination with the Delhi Government to provide new direction to women's safety, dignity, rights, and empowerment, while making a significant contribution towards building a more sensitive, just, and secure Delhi.

She further said that the Delhi Commission for Women plays a vital role in ensuring women's safety, protecting their rights and dignity, and promoting their empowerment. According to the Chief Minister, these appointments will provide fresh momentum to the Commission's functioning and make access to justice, protection, and assistance for women more effective.
