New Delhi, 02 July (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday said that persistent effort is the true key to success, asserting that only those who move forward with patience, determination and self-confidence ultimately achieve their goals.

Sharing a Sanskrit subhashitam (wise saying) on X, the Prime Minister quoted:

नानाश्रान्ताय श्रीरस्तीति रोहित शुश्रुम। पापो नृषद्वरो जन इन्द्र इच्चरतः सखा चरैवेति॥

Explaining its meaning, PM Modi said that prosperity and success come only to those who never stop or give in to fatigue. He noted that laziness and inactivity distance a person from his or her goals, whereas continuous action, hard work and the determination to keep moving forward pave the way for success.

The Prime Minister said that success itself stands by those who persevere with patience, unwavering determination and self-confidence through consistent effort.
