
Prayagraj/Wardha, 02 July (HS): In a significant step toward
promoting quality, innovation, and digital learning in higher education in line
with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, Mahatma Gandhi Antarrashtriya
Hindi Vishwavidyalaya (MGAHV) and Uttarakhand Open University entered into an
important academic partnership. Under this Memorandum of
Understanding (MoU), the two universities will collaborate in the areas of
research, distance and open education, online courses, faculty and student
exchange, joint academic activities, and curriculum development.
During the ceremony, the Vice-Chancellors of both
universities exchanged the signed MoU documents. Prof. Kumud Sharma,
Vice-Chancellor of Mahatma Gandhi Antarrashtriya Hindi Vishwavidyalaya, stated
that this MoU is not merely a collaboration between two universities but a
concrete initiative to translate the objectives of the National Education
Policy into practice. She emphasized that both institutions will share their
academic expertise, human resources, and intellectual assets to provide
students with more qualitative and contemporary education. Innovative
approaches will also be introduced in curricula to meet the evolving needs of
the time.
She further noted that Hindi University has established a
strong reputation in the fields of distance and open education, Hindi studies,
translation studies, and technology-enabled teaching. This partnership will
enable both universities to benefit from each other’s expertise and provide new
directions to education and research. Prof. Sharma highlighted that the
university has also made remarkable contributions in the field of online
education. Through this collaboration, faculty members and researchers from
both institutions will jointly work on research projects, digital course
development, and academic innovations. As a result, students will gain access
to guidance from leading experts, shared learning resources, and high-quality
educational opportunities.
