New Delhi, 19 July (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday congratulated Indian students who won medals at the 37th International Biology Olympiad and the 58th International Chemistry Olympiad held in Vilnius, Lithuania, describing their achievements as a proud moment for the nation.

Taking to the social media platform ‘X’, Prime Minister Modi said it was a matter of immense happiness that all four members of the Indian team secured medals at the 37th International Biology Olympiad held in Vilnius, including a gold medal. He congratulated Bhavya Gunwal, Soumil Maiti, Nishit Kalani and Anmol Kumar for their outstanding performance.

The Prime Minister said Indian students showcased exceptional talent in diverse fields, including molecular biology and biochemistry, animal physiology, animal morphology and systematics, as well as plant computational biology. He expressed confidence that their success would inspire other young Indians to pursue excellence in the field of science.

Highlighting India’s achievement at the International Chemistry Olympiad, Prime Minister Modi said the country’s young talent is making its mark on global platforms. He congratulated Debadatta Priyadarshi, Harshit Singhal, Kabir Chhillar and Sandeep Kuchi for winning gold medals at the 58th International Chemistry Olympiad.

Prime Minister Modi said the performance was India’s best-ever showing at the prestigious competition. He noted that the students’ talent, dedication, hard work and passion for science had brought immense pride to the country. He added that the achievements of these young scientists would encourage future generations to pursue studies in chemistry and other scientific disciplines.

The Prime Minister further said that India’s growing participation and consistent improvement at international platforms reflect the expanding opportunities in science and innovation within the country. He added that such accomplishments by young talents further strengthen the vision of a developed India.
