Guwahati, 17 July (HS): The Assam Pradesh BJP on Friday held a press conference accusing Raijor Dal president and MLA Akhil Gogoi of serious GST evasion. The press conference was addressed by the party's spokesperson Kamal Kumar Medhi at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Bhawan, the BJP's state headquarters.

Medhi challenged Akhil Gogoi to give a direct response to the allegations raised by Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma and the State Finance Minister on the floor of the Assam Legislative Assembly.

The BJP spokesperson also alleged that four out of the ten directors of Orchid Park are members of Akhil Gogoi's family, raising questions over the company's management and ownership. The party demanded that Gogoi clarify the allegations before the public.

The allegations made by the BJP have yet to be Akhil Gogoi's response.-----------
