
Kolkata, 16 July (H.S.) : West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari on Thursday extended greetings to the nation on the auspicious occasion of Rath Yatra, praying for peace, prosperity and the well-being of all. Both leaders shared their messages on X, invoking the blessings of Lord Jagannath. Meanwhile, senior BJP leader and state minister Dilip Ghosh visited the ISKCON headquarters at Mayapur in Nadia district along with his mother and wife to participate in religious rituals.
Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari also conveyed his greetings, offering prayers to Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Goddess Subhadra. He expressed hope that the divine blessings of the deities would fill everyone's life with peace, happiness and prosperity. Wishing for the welfare of the nation, society and humanity, he extended his heartfelt greetings on Rath Yatra and concluded his message with the invocation, Jai Jagannath.
On the occasion, BJP leader Dilip Ghosh visited the ISKCON headquarters at Mayapur with his mother and wife. He offered prayers at the Sri Mayapur Chandrodaya Mandir, participated in gau puja and gau seva, fed cows with his own hands, ceremonially washed their feet and also took part in a yajna. Speaking on the occasion, Ghosh said he was delighted to participate in the Rath Yatra celebrations organised by a globally respected institution like ISKCON.
Responding to political questions, Ghosh remarked that the Bharatiya Janata Party's doors were now completely closed to leaders from the Trinamool Congress. The BJP's doors are shut for the TMC. Not even a mosquito or a fly can enter now, he said. However, when asked about reports of TMC leader Madan Mitra switching camps, Ghosh declined to comment, describing it as an internal matter of the Trinamool Congress.
