
Mumbai, 15 July (HS):
Navi Mumbai’s airport started its international service with Air India Express
flight taking off to Abu Dhabi on Wednesday.
The Air India Express
Boeing 737 Max 8 took off at 2.55 am with 100 passengers on board and landed
safely two-and-a-half hours later at Abu Dhabi in UAE. The aircraft also
carried some perishable good with it. The flight will be operated three times
in a week.
The domestic flight
services from Navi Mumbai were started on 25 December 2025. The airport is
being developed through Navi Mumbai International Airport Limited in phases
with shares by AAHAL (74%) and City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO)
(26%).
