Guwahati, 15 July (HS): Assam BJP Spokesperson Dr. Devajit Mahanta said Assam's industrial expansion is central to the state's goal of becoming one of India's top five states. He said the 2026-27 Budget reflects a long-term vision with measures such as the expansion of Rupsi Airport, the Bongaigaon Multi-Modal Logistics Park, the Kokrajhar-Bhutan rail link and major investments in pumped storage projects.

He added that reforms to simplify MSME registration, the proposed investment of nearly ₹3 lakh crore under Advantage Assam 2.0, and incentives for the dairy and tea sectors will strengthen industrial growth, boost employment and accelerate Assam's economic development.------------
