Sambhal, 14 July (HS): In Sambhal district of Uttar Pradesh,

the demolition of structures illegally built on government land is progressing

rapidly. In this sequence, on Tuesday, an illegally constructed Eidgah in the

village of Madhan, under the Asmoli police station area of the district, was

demolished using bulldozer action. This work was carried out in the presence of

a team from the Revenue Department as part of the campaign to free government land

from encroachment. Police forces from three police stations were deployed to

maintain law and order during this operation.

The Tehsildar Court had given eviction orders to remove the

illegal encroachment on the graveyard land in Madhan village, plot number 208,

area hectare and plot number 210, area 0.128. For this, Tehsildar Dhirendra

Pratap Singh formed a team under the leadership of Naib Tehsildar Deepak

Jurail, which reached Madhan village on Tuesday to take action. After this, the

Tehsildar reached the spot with RAF and police force from three police stations

and took bulldozer action on the illegal Idgah.

Giving information on this subject, Tehsildar Sambhal

Dhirendra Pratap Singh said that in Madhan village of the tehsil area, plot

numbers 208, 210, 218, 417 were reserved for graveyard but changing the said

purpose, plot number 210 is still being used as graveyard but in plot number

208, some local mafias changed its purpose and converted it into Idgah and

started fulfilling their purpose due to which there is dissatisfaction in the

village that our graveyard land should be freed from encroachment. That is why

today the graveyard has been established in its actual form by removing the

Idgah.
