New Delhi, 13 July (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday shared a renowned Sanskrit verse from the Nitishastra, underscoring the importance of every citizen's participation in India's inclusive development and nation-building efforts.

Quoting the verse on X, the Prime Minister wrote:

Kanyānām Sampradānañcha Kumārāṇāñcha Rakṣaṇam। Rāṣṭrasya Saṅgrahe Nityaṁ Vidhānamidam Ācharet॥

Explaining its meaning, he said that it is the continuous duty of public representatives to ensure the welfare of women, protect and nurture the younger generation, and consistently make the necessary arrangements for the unity, security, prosperity, and effective governance of the nation.

Referring to the Subhashitam, the Prime Minister further said that its essence is that when comprehensive development brings positive change to the lives of every citizen, the nation, too, progresses with renewed momentum. He added that it is with this inspiring spirit that India continues to uphold and strengthen its resilience while advancing on the path of development.
