
New Delhi, 12 July (H.S.): Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah will inaugurate a new vegetable sub-yard at the Agricultural Produce Market Committee (APMC) in Dahegam, Gandhinagar district of Gujarat, on Monday, July 13, as part of the APMC's Amrit Mahotsav celebrations. During the event, he will also plant a sapling under the 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' campaign and release a commemorative publication prepared by the APMC.
According to the Ministry of Home Affairs, the newly developed vegetable sub-yard at Dahegam APMC will provide modern agricultural marketing facilities for farmers. The initiative is expected to help local producers secure better prices for their produce, ensure the supply of fresh vegetables to consumers, and make the agricultural marketing system more transparent and efficient.
On the occasion, Amit Shah will interact with members of the APMC Board and discuss the achievements of the cooperative sector. The programme will also witness the participation of cooperative representatives and APMC members, further strengthening collaboration between farmers and cooperative institutions.
