Bhubaneswar, 08 June (H.S.): Odisha Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati participated in the Pabitra Snan and Mahayajna ceremonies during the annual Mahendragiri Mela held at the revered Mahendragiri Hill in Gajapati district.

Sharing details of his visit on social media, the Governor described Mahendragiri as a sacred centre of faith, culture, and heritage that reflects Odisha’s rich spiritual traditions. He highlighted the significance of the Mahendragiri Mela, which attracts devotees and pilgrims from different parts of the region every year.

During the visit, the Governor took part in the religious rituals and offered prayers for peace, prosperity, and the well-being of the people. He also sought the blessings of Lord Parashurama, the presiding deity associated with the historic and spiritually significant hill shrine.

Mahendragiri, one of Odisha’s prominent pilgrimage destinations, holds immense religious and cultural importance and is closely linked with ancient Hindu traditions. The annual mela serves as a major gathering of devotees and continues to preserve the state's rich spiritual legacy.
