New Delhi, 08 June (H.S.):

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Monday issued a clarification regarding certain media reports and social media posts that raised concerns about the functioning of its post-result services portal. The board stated that the application window for verification and re-evaluation operated smoothly from June 2 to June 7 without any technical disruptions.

According to CBSE, more than 1.6 lakh candidates submitted requests related to over 3.8 lakh answer scripts during the application period, reflecting the successful operation of the portal on a large scale.

The board said that the portal was monitored throughout the process by expert teams from government technical agencies and leading Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). Dedicated cybersecurity teams also maintained continuous surveillance to safeguard the platform against cyberattacks and other online threats. In addition, CBSE's helpdesk and grievance redressal mechanisms remained fully operational to assist students and address their concerns.

CBSE specifically addressed complaints related to the “Roll Number Not Found” message that some students reported while accessing the portal. The board clarified that the message was not the result of any technical malfunction.

According to CBSE, the notification appeared only for candidates who had not applied for scanned copies of their answer scripts during the first stage of the post-result process. The board explained that only students who had initially requested photocopies or scanned copies of their evaluated answer books were eligible to proceed to the subsequent stages of verification and re-evaluation.

The clarification was issued to dispel misconceptions regarding the portal's functioning and to reassure students and parents about the integrity of the post-result process.

CBSE reiterated its commitment to maintaining a transparent, student-centric and seamless post-result system. The board added that it will continue to address all genuine concerns and grievances through its helpline services, complaint redressal mechanisms and other communication channels to ensure that students receive timely assistance and support.
