Ferozepur, 05 June (H.S.): Pakistani drone intrusion along the India-Pakistan border continue to come to light. In the latest case, another Pakistani drone has been recovered from the border area of Ferozepur. Following the recovery, the BSF and police heightened security in the area and launched an extensive search operation.

According to information, the drone was found in a field near Hazara Singh Wala village, which falls under Mamdot block. The location is around 600 metres inside Indian territory from the barbed fencing along the India-Pakistan international border. The area falls under the Jalloke post of the BSF’s 158th Battalion.

The incident came to light when village sarpanch Gurnam Singh, former sarpanch Resham Singh and other villagers were marking land for widening a road. During this work, they noticed a suspicious drone lying in a field near the roadside. The villagers immediately informed the BSF and local police.

After receiving the information, BSF officials and personnel reached the spot. In view of security concerns, the entire area was sealed and a search operation was started in the nearby fields. A dog squad was also deployed during the search operation to ensure that no drugs, weapons or other suspicious material had been dropped from across the border through the drone.

The BSF has taken the drone into custody and sent it for forensic examination and technical analysis. Officials are trying to gather information about the drone’s flight path, route and purpose. Security agencies are investigating the matter seriously.
