
Prayagraj, 05 June (HS): On the occasion of World
Environment Day, Uttar Pradesh Government's Industrial Development Minister
Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi planted saplings in the Smriti Vatika of Dhanua village
in Nain, Prayagraj, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's inspirational campaign
'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam'.
Minister Nandi said that tree plantation is not just a means
of environmental protection but it is also a pledge to build a clean, safe and
green future for the coming generations. He said that trees are not only a
natural beauty but also the foundation of human life. They provide us with
clean air, water conservation, biodiversity, and environmental balance.
Planting trees and protecting them is essential for a safe and prosperous
future for future generations. Minister Nandi appealed to everyone to pledge to
plant as many trees as possible to protect and enhance nature.
On this occasion, District Magistrate Manish Verma,
Municipal Commissioner Prayagraj Sai Teja, DFO Arvind Yadav, SDM Tapan Mishra,
senior officers of the Forest Department and other dignitaries were present.
