
Call given to make environmental protection mass movement
under campaign Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam
Muzaffarnagar/Lucknow, 05 June (HS): On the occasion of
World Environment Day, Kapil Dev Agarwal, Minister of State (Independent
Charge) for Vocational Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship,
planted a tree at the PWD Guest House complex near Makhiyali Chowki in his
constituency, Muzaffarnagar. The Scout-Guide team, volunteers, and local
citizens participated in the event, organized under the One Tree for
Mother campaign, initiated at the call of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
On this occasion, Minister Kapil Dev Agarwal, while giving
the message of environmental protection and nature conservation, urged all
citizens to plant as many trees as possible and take responsibility for their
protection. He said that trees are the foundation of our lives and play an
important role in creating clean air, a green environment, and a healthy
future.
The Minister of State stated that amid the growing
environmental crisis and challenges of climate change, tree planting is not
just a campaign, but a social responsibility. He said that every person should
plant at least one tree in their lifetime and care for it regularly, so that
environmental conservation efforts can be sustainable and effective.
Kapil Dev Agarwal said, Planting trees is not just a
service to nature, but also a responsibility towards future generations.
He called on people to make environmental protection a mass movement and
actively contribute to building a clean, safe, and green India.
