Mumbai, 05 June (HS):

The State Government has sanctioned Rs 3.40 crore for financial support to families

of 34 persons from eight districts, who died during agitation for Maratha

reservation. The family of the deceased in agitation will get Rs 10 lakh each

as financial support.

A total of 309 people

died during the agitation for which Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis had

sanctioned Rs 27.50 lakh. The 34 which has remained will get the financial

support immediately.

Manoj Jarange had raised the issue during his

agitation following which Minister Radhakrihna Vikhe Patil discussed the issue

with CM Fadnavis and got the financial support sanctioned. They include 15 people

from Beed, 5 from Dharashiv, 4 from Hingoli, 4 from Parbhani. 3 from Nanded and

one each from Jalna, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. And Latur.
